Skipping the SCSI

Hi,

I'm getting tired of trying to get my PC to work with a SCSI!

So... isn't there other way to get files from the sampler to the PC?

I know MIDI is too slow... switching my IDE back and forth from the emu to the PC is also too slow and may wreak both (sometimes i do this things after a beer and things may go messy :))

By analogue audio is cool... but it takes to long if i'm doing many samples...

isn't there any other way? spdif? adat? whatever?

yes i own a 5000 ultra... not very expanded.. yet

thanks emu bros ;)

I think SCSI is the only way to get your samples from your computer to your sampler with speed and convenience...once it's setup!

What problems are you having getting to work?

You can use chicken translator or cdxtract but you will need either a zip or cd rom drive for your Emu and the same for your computer.

I'm using an adaptec card wich gives me errors during the boot process of the PC and has no 2000 drivers.

What card is it?

The Adaptec Website is pretty good for drivers and stuff.

Well once you get it working, its the least time consuming process. There really is no other shortcut. Anything else is a royal pain in the ass.

This article may help you out.
