filter cc ?

is there a midi cc for the filters ?
for example:
i want to use a lp filter for 4 bars after that the hp filter for 2 bars and so on.. in the same preset on one group , controlled via cubase or whatever ..?
any ideas ?

I'm no expert, but I cant immediately see how you can change the filter type by using midd cc numbers within the same preset. Having said that I do believe you can get the same effect using two presets, one for each filter. you could split the midi track into two tracks (separate channels) and then mix the two tracks together. Alternatively, you could program in program changes instead of splitting the track, but if the track is extremely fast (DNB) then you may not get the desired result due to clicks.

cheerz .. i just worked out something else .. i combined a peak/morph (group) and a lowpass filter (voice) .. and this did the job ...

There are no clicks when doing program changes. You have to set it up about a half a sample before you want the change to happen.
For example, if I wanted to do a program change to do the exact thing misanthrop is trying to do, and I am wanting to apply this to a break, which I have cut up into sixteenths, I would up the resolution to 1/32 in cubase instead of the 1/16 that the break is programmed at and apply the program change half way in on the last sample. This gives the sampler enough time to change the progam. What happens is the program changes even though the current sample is playing. Once that sample is done, the new program takes the place on the next new note. It is kind of like a latch.
I make dnb of course, and I use program changes all the time. Sometimes as much as a few per bar. Just takes careful placement of the program change command.
my tracks round out at 178 bpm.

Why dont you realtime crossfade between 2 almost identical sets of voices in the same Preset. I say almost identical because the difference would be that one set has got a high pass filter and the other set would have a low pass. You could then assign a midi CC to AmpXfd up to switch between the 2, either in realtime or programmed into a sequence.

So is it possible to do that? I've been trying to put a low pass on the voice and a high pass on the global and I can't get it to work. When I change the voice filter it changes the global filter as well. How do you do this?

It's not possible to chain filters unless you're using an rfx card.
RFX gives you the option to use 'Live Samples'. You could plug an output back into the sampling input (be careful with feedback by making sure the input is chained to the output again). I do this quite alot but send the output to a mixing desk where I process the signal and send it back into the emu where I have the luxury of using another emu filter (assinging Sampling ADC to a voice). An annoying problem with 'Live Samples' is that only one key (midi note) at a time can trigger an external input. If you dont have an RFX this wont make much sense

It's so much easier just to make multiple copies of presets. It doesn't 'cost' you anything memorywise, & you can have different filters, or even change voice parameters etc for each 'note' of your bassline.
I'ts a progamming nightmare, and means your bassline will use multiple midi channels but you'll thank me when you're mixing down!
