potential e6400 ultra buyer

i might be getting one of these but i have a few questions if you folks can help me out:
im wondering about using the e6400 ultra in a live situation. i want to use the inboard sequencer to trigger "songs" that are simple arrangements of loops, not actual midi data, and at the same time be able to play keyboard patches/samples. also what are the possibilities for mixing into other loops and improvising which song/sequence you are going to move into next?
and a longshot question can you record midi sequence loops in real time thus using it as a looping machine so i can move over to the guitar or bass and play that? (not recording audio data but just midi like when im on the sequencer and you throw down an overdub)
