Can I record on 32 MIDI channels using INTERNAL sequencer???

sequencer of my e5000 Ultra if I have MIDI Channel Expander Card
installed? In sequencer screen I cannot assign the track to be
recorded on other then 1-16 midi channels... Or the only thing I can
do to run all 32 midi channels is to use external sequencer? I've just bought the Thing and I'm at novice level...
