Hi

I have just bought an E64 and upgraded it to EOS 4.61 from the files on emus web site. I have just noticed that there is Eos 4.7 on this website:

http://www.basscadets.co.uk/emu/EOS470.htm

Can this be used on a non Ultra emu and is it stable?

Cheers

To the best of my knowledge, I seem to recall that 4.7 only works with ultra models. Someone please correct me if I am out to lunch on this subject.

were there special things that you had to do to get the update done?? Someone told me you couldn't do it with the stock e64 but needed some hardware upgrade, too...

Which version had you previously??

THX in advance,

I bought my e64 with the hardware upgrade already installed.

I have an e6400 classic upgraded. I could only get EOS 4.6.1 to install. I tried for several hours to get 4.7 to install but I had no success. If it is possible, please post how it is done as I would definitely love the ability to load .wav files in my EMU.

Unfortunately...

As "flipped" pointed out (and too bad he was right :( ), the "1st series" of E-mu samplers (E IV & e64, those ones with 30 pin SIMMS) along with the "classic" series (e6400, E4K, E-Synth, E4X and E4XT... Those ones with 72 pin SIMMS) can only be upgraded up to v4.62 version of EOS...

EOS 4.70 had been developed for "Ultra" series only :( .

Davide (from Italy).
