Wanted 50Pin IDC to DB25 Centronics 50 or HD50 SCSI adapters

I'm after an adapter/converter that will convert a 50 Pin IDC connector from the internal SCSI channel on a SCSI card to an externally available SCSI connector that is of the DB25 or HD50 or even a Centronics 50 pin variety.

Comsol used to manufacture these but they are no longer avialable. I know Adaptec have a similar item but the cost of getting them to ship it to Australia is nearly double the cost of the item.

Cheers,

Hey Adam,
Just saw your post . Do you still need a scsi cable?
Would this be a flat ribbon type cable or regular for connecting an external unit?

Hi Sturoc,

I actually did manage to find what I was after (eventually!). Computer Cable Makers Inc sell them.

They're basically an adapter that converts the internal 50 Pin IDC connector to an external DB50 Type connector mounted on a standard PCI Slot bracket. They allow you to bring the internal scsi bus of your SCSI card out of the PC thus giving you two external SCSI ports from the one card.

Here's a link if anybody interested.
