WTB: An 'E' Ultra

Hi Folks,

I've caught some kind of Emu bug while trawling the web. Ended up here.

Want to buy an E-Synth Ultra, E6400 Ultra or E4XT Ultra.

I've been offered an E-Synth Ultra with added 128-voice, 128 ram, and a 40gb HDD fitted. It also comes with the 9 CD-Rom set. He wants 250 UK pounds. I'm thinking that I could sell the ESynth ROM for at least 50 pounds and the CDs for at least 30 and somehow justify the overall cost! If I got the extras sold, the deal would work out at 170 for essentially an EX4T Ultra. It sounds like a good deal to me.

But if there's anyone else thinking of selling an ULTRA in the UK then let me know. Cash waiting.

cheers
DG

EDIT: Check your PM wig

Well, would you consider stripping it down a bit? I"M tempted by the RFX-32, but don't want the ROM, CDs or Zip drive. I'm on the fence with the ADAT option - but could be persuaded!

Does it have only the original number of analogue outs (I think 8)?

The E-synth rom and it's presets are well worth the extra 50 bucks, there is a reason why they go for such prices. Unless you already got a couple of bread-and-butter-synths, or if you are just after the sampler as a sampler, I would'nt recommend ditching out the e-synth rom.

HA! DG that was my Esynth Ultra and was a bargain I reckon - mint. So mint that I decided to keep it and use it a bit more. I went a bought a scsi card for my laptop and Soundforge and will try joining the SMDI crowd.

Hope you found something!

Jon
