The Ultra series was the last great line of hardware samplers produced by Emu. It has 8 outputs (great for dumping tracks to your PC or mixing board, amazing filters (including Z-plane) and a very intuitive interface. The workflow on this machine is very efficient and inspiring. The modulation matrix alone makes this machine worth having. It allows you to route and control any modulator (LFO, Envelopes, Slider, pitch wheel, etc.) to all of your destinations (filter cutoff, pitch, volume, pan, etc.). There are also dual effects engines, a beat chopping function (beat munging) and of course re-sampling. There is also a built in sequencer with the ability to cut and past sections as well as quantize sounds as they are being recorded or after the fact. The details of the items for sale include:

Functional Condition
Operationally it works well but like many Ultras, you will find that sometimes you will hit a button and the screen will go to the new screen only to bounce back to the previous screen. Hitting the button again will get you to the new screen but it can be annoying, especially when you are on a roll. I understand that this can be fixed by cleaning the contacts behind the buttons but I am afraid to try. Another alternative is to install the ASCII keyboard option and use a computer keyboard (that way is quicker for naming, etc anyway).

Cosmetic Condition
Cosmetically the sampler is in good shape. There are a couple of small scratches (see photos). None of these affects usability and if you rack the unit, you will not even see them. This is a great sampler and I hate to sell it but I need the money and there are too many great songs left in it to allow it to be neglected any longer.
