Anyone have a max'd out drive full of up to date samples for the E6400 Classic?

Preferably an internal drive

I just want to turn the thing into a massive sound module as cheap as possible

Let me know.

What can i tell you .?
In this times Software Rompler can much more and cheaper than Hardware.
...also Hardware Rompler Roland 5050 Yamaha etc etc are cheaper on E-Bay.

But as a Synth ...you can get a Monster....with your own Sounds.
E-MU is not only a Sampler , it´s also a modular koncept. ....with the RFX card, unique.

Yes MFPhouse - a like your soundfiles!!! each to their own but my ears love the Emu so that informs the decision to load that up with a massive library. I havent the time nor energy at the moment to build this up from scratch as i need to get on with programming - i dont want to sit for ages until all my inspiraton has gone - trying to find sounds out of my very limited palette. I was looking for a nice sounding hardware box 2nd hand but then realising that i'd box myself into a corner with inbuilt samples - i saw the logic in using my EM6400 - (i also have a yammy A3000)

If you can point me in the direction of a very large library of contemporary 'bread and butter' sounds that wont cost the earth please let me know

Thanks.

Thanks for that suggestion MFPhouse - i will consider it. I think the open ended nature of the E6400 would be very flexible though. I've also learned that the E6400 sounds superior to the protues engine despite maybe better specs of the proteus - It was in a side by side comparison by 'tweakhead' so if i have the thing at my disposal i may as well use it.

Regards.

I think a few good sample CDs will do you good. Especially ones with good raw synth wave forms. I don't know much about sample CDs though. There are specific EMU ones (some come with certain models) but you'll need a SCSI cd-rom drive since you won't be able to read them on PC/Mac.

Thanks Myra

I have a SCSI CDrom Drive. I have thought about sampling raw waves and would love to have access to some analogue synths. I like the idea of using raw waves as a starting point, i'll explore that option.
