Hello to Everyone. I have a BIG problem, my loved e4k turbo ( EOS 4.62), has follow problem :
- it doesn't hold the pitch & modulation to "0" value : such values, in fact, are crazy... after some minutes or hours of working time.... they became MAD and go to 40... after 127.. after -10... with NO criteria... of course the sounds became unplayable... !!! :-( It happen even if i disconnect (hardware cable disconnect) both the wheels....
I must every time recall theese parameters from "recall" menu so i can play for little time.. after again.. the problem ... is present...
Can someone help me or give some advise ?
Sorry for my bad english... ( i am italian )
Thank You to everyone.

Try recalibrating your wheels.
Go to Master --> Utils --> Recal, and follow the instructions on the screen.
Hope it helps!

Hi!
the problem with the pitch and mode wheel can?t solve with another os or recalibrating.
for this reason i sell my E4k two years after purchasing it (1998).
i was several times at one german emu center. they changed everything in the E4k: new motherboard, new wheel, wheels from another E4k, and so on. but nothing could solve the problem!!!
i asked a emu guy at the frankfurt fair, and he said thats the first units who went to europe have this problem.
but i can?t believe it.
the last years i search for another E4k who has no wheel problems. but everyone i aksed has this problem.
sometimes it comes after a few hours, sometimes it comes after a few days.
the only solution is, to recalibrate the wheels everytime you have this strange behaviour.
good luck!

My e4k it is of the 2000 year and is a turbo verison ( 6902 model ) so i think one of the last version .....
Thank You for Your answer..... now i understand that there's no way to resolve this problem... !! It's really a pity !!! but ...anyway it is not a defect of mine....
Someone else said that it can depends from Power supply .. but i don't belive at this !!!

It could be power supply. I had a cheap power supply in my computer before I rebuilt it.. and it would lock up from time to time. So it's a possiblity.
Also... could it be your controller.. I know my emu is doing this now... but it's because of my controller.. not the emu. I have an e5000ultra...
