Copies 96% of WAV then hangs

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to copy wav files into an E5000, running OS 4.7.

So far, I have renames my wave file to that of a suitable name:

e.g. pluckme2.wav to

Folder

B.001-Dance.Pack

Containing

B.008-PLUCKME2.wav

I then go to folder, load bank, merge. All goes well up to 96%. Even if I try many other samples or loading a wave file from an external fat32 hard drive, I always get stuck at 96%.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you for your time,

Andrew

Hi Nanloop,

Thanks for your post. I've check the mode but it still doesn't work.

It's must have been something funny about the way the .wav was encoded.

I've since got a PCI SCSI adapter to work and have been passing samples into my sampler via scsi.

I've then saved these samples to disk in many different forms. I can load without a problem.

Samples I copy from the mac - onto a disk and into the sampler, won't work.

I think I'll need to take care with which program I use to save my audio files in the future. It's also something I'll experiment with at a later date.

Cheers,

Andy 8-)

it's either bad file or bad sector on the drive. Only time I've had it happen was because of that.

Have you tried converting the .wav files to Apple Aiff files in itunes. I had trouble getting my E6400 ultra to accept .wav files but the Aiff files worked.
