E64 Preset increase

When I change a preset number on my E64, it takes some time to start responding on midi notes from keyboard. To be more precise, I have to press any key about 10-15 times to get a sound from E64. I found a shortcut, only one slight movement of modulation wheel is sufficient to hear something
I think that above mentioned behaviour of my E64 is not acceptable. Does anyone have an idea how to solve that?
