Translator conversion issues

I have some akai presets in a folder that i would like to use in the emu.

they load up in kontakt fine and work well.

however, the only way i know of sending sounds to my emu is via scsi using soundforge or recycle.

if i fire up translator, i can convert the akai preset to e4b format  however i cant seem to be able to send it to the emu.

it jams the emu if i try and drop the e4b file on to the emu device in translator  are e4b files for fat formatted drives only???

i have an e5000 running eos 4.61.

im well aware that translator is buggy as hell but there must be a way of getting this preset onto the emu - even if i have to burn an emu format cd and just load it into the scsi cd attached to the emu.

any ideas??? either on how to transfer it or make an emu cd would be great.

thx in advance

Easiest/quickest thing to do would be save the files in Kontakt and then transfer the wavs over in Soundforge.

Regarding the virtual drive thing, going by memory.

1.Create an Emu format virtual drive in Translator.
2.Drag the Akai files over to the virtual drive within Translator.
3.Burn the virtual drive as an image using Nero, I think you have to rename the filename from .img to .nrg.
