Problems Creating EOS Flash Prep Disk

Hey guys,

I'm hoping that one of you may be able to assist me with my problem. Currently, I've tried downloading both versions of the Flash Prep .exe file that I could find; one on this board, and one on the E-MU support page. I format my floppy (tried the standard FAT and E-MU format), then I run the CMD and enter in the correct file name from my root directory on the C: drive.

Example: C:\FLASHPRP.EXE

When the program runs it asks me which drive and I type A.

However, I keep having a problem where it gives me an error, so far ERROR #9 or ERROR #128 and then it says ABORT.

At this point, I'm frustrated and would like some helpful advice.

If that doesn't work out; I may need someone to mail me a copy of the Flash Prep and EOS v. 4.61 disks.

Do any of you have a suggestion, or have you run into a similar problem when attempting to create the disks?

Thanks,
George

:slayer:

Okay, after hours of trying this on two different computers at home; I was finaly able to get both the Flash Prep and EOS v4.61 onto a floppy disk.

What was the problem? I'm not sure! LoL

In order to get the two of these onto a floppy, I had to try two different computers at two different locations other than my house. The Flas Prep disk I made on my friends computer, but, his computer kept giving me errors when I was trying to make the EOS v 4.61 disk. Strange.....I agree.

The EOS v 4.61 disk I was able to make at work today.

So, I guess my best suggestion to anyone else that runs into this problem is to try different computers.

Cheers,
George
