THIS BOOT IS MADE FOR WALKING PART 2
Posted: Wed Jun 04, 2008 11:13 pmtoday i went to my local music shop(which is enormous by the way...)and i was lucky enough to find the e-mu specialist right there waiting for me.
he didn't even looked at the machine and just told me:if the sampler doesn't reboot it's a flash memory problem.
he told me to change the flash memory but unfortunately there are no more spare parts at e-mu for the e4x(because the e4x has it's own kind of flash memory).it seems like i have 3 possibilities:
1)throw the sampler in the trash bin (and i say nooooooooo!!)
2)buy another one (are you kidding me?i want mine!)
3)search the spare flash memory on ebay,hoping to win the auction because they're really objects of desire!
he said that this problem with the flash memory it's the most common with the e4x (and not e4k,as you mention in the previous messages)
can you confirm me this information?and can you indicate to me a place on internet in which i can buy such flash memory?

P.S.:my sampler is now working because i've implored him to open the sampler to check a little better.he removed the flash,clean it a little and it started working again,but also told me that it's just a matter of time before it'll happen again and this time more seriously...i don't know...do i have to trust his advice and strt searching to a new flash memory?let me know your opinion plz!!
