Internal midi failure

Hello,
I just got a 6400 ultra and did a diagnostic on it.
It says that the internal midi is bad.
What could be the problem?
Should I return it?

Do you have anything powered up and connected to MIDI on the Ultra?

Yes, I have a MPC1000 puting out midi. And I sampled 1 sound, to see if everything works. It playsback the sound sequenced by the MPC, filters, amp and the efx work.
But I haven't tried the internal sequencer yet and I think that the internal sequencer will give problems. I only have got it for a few hours, so I'm not understanding how everything works yet.

To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what the hell the diagnostic is referring to when it says "internal MIDI".

The diagnostic test is a hardware test, so assuming you have all three MIDI ports connected when running the test, and you've confirmed all three ports can transmit or send MIDI data, I really don't think it's an issue.

I have a good reason to think something is broken: When I got the sampler today, the internal harddrive was bouncing loose inside the sampler. The previous owner had forgotten to connect it to the side with srews. I don't see any damage to the printboard, so It could be ok. But I nearly got a heart failure when I heard the package making scraping sounds. Then I opend the thing up and saw the loose harddisk only connected with the cable. At that moment I thought the whole thing was broken, but only the internal midi gives a bad diagnostic.
Anyway thanks for the help so far, I'm going to sleep. Speak you tomorrow.

This would be reason enough for me to return it.
