Hi
I do not understand well how formatter my hard drive SAMSUNG IDE. On documentation EOS 4.7 they indicate :

" EOS cannot perform low level formatting in IDE disk Drive. Moste IDE hard disks come pr?formatted with the low level formatting, so this is usually not a probl?m. In the rare instance that you have an IDE hard disk without low-level formatting, you must use your PC to low-level format the disk. In somes cases you must use sp?cific low-level formatting utilities provided by the manufacturer of your hard disk."

Does one need formatter in low level systematically?
With the PC? With the EMU ?
my hard drive installed in IDE is blocked sometimes, I do not have it formatted in low level
Thaks a lot

Low level format is usually not necessary. Just execute the "normal" formatting.

I've been using several IDEs in the Ultra and there never was an issue with
formatting. Just decide, whether you prefer the FAT or the EMU format.

Do any one format have any advantage over the other?
