Samples hissing at low velocity

im a bit stuck with a problem im havin with my e4, when the sampler plays a sample back at low velocity it is adding a hiss/static over the top of the samples. its doing this on all channels to all samples even when i load my esi samples in they do the same
does anybody know what im doing wrong or how to fix this?
