E6400 ultra, sending samples

i got a usb device to connect my xp laptop to the sampler, in MY COMPUTER can see the disk drive (which is a jaz drive)..it wont let me do anything though as it says it is not formatted, but it has files on it so i dont want to do that..also, it says : found new hardware, E-mu emulator iv usb device but i have no software to allow that to install.any ideas?so how can i send samples to its internal memory?i dont even have that EOS link software :cry:

You need to use a program like SoundForge or Recycle to upload/download the samples. Good info at http://www.tweakheadz.com/scsi_transfer_pc_to_emu_sampler.htm. Otherwise, you run the risk of corrupting the jaz disk (been there, done that), so be careful.
