FRX 6868 Input Levels

Good evening everyone.

I have been sending test tones to my 6868 input card and I'm starting to feel slightly robbed. The levels going into ADC1 and ADC2 are not as loud as Sampling ADC. They are the same level if I got to the 'Create Sample' page and set ADC Gain to -12db.

I'm hoping that I'm missing something really simple. Can anyone find my missing 12db? I can work around this by adding a Mixer Section RFX plugin to an RFX however I'm sure there will be signal to noise issues.

Many thanks,

Andrew.

yes , you are right. There is a Bug . Specially when using them as Live Input . Most People put the Compressor or Mixer plug as default.

Edit: ...but the Qualität is 24Bit, Fine Art Emu Like ! First Class ;-)

Ah, many thanks Michael - I'm not going mad.

Yep, using them as a live input here. I'm goin to keep the Sampling ADC at -12 just for consistency.

Does anyone know if the same problem exists with RFX 6866 ADAT inputs?

Yes , I ;-)

No Problems , 1:1 . It´s only the Analog Input Option

Thanks again.

Hmm, I'm now thinking of going down the 6866 route with a Behringer ADA8000. I'm not a huge fan of Behringer but I've heard many good reviews of this particular unit.

I found where the 12db went. It's because I had output boost on which only works on the main inputs, not the RFX ones - Another RFX feature
