Update via MIDI minimum EOS version?

Hi folks,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I am trying to update my E5000 Ultra from v4.10 to v4.61 (or .7) via ELoader. I read in the manual that you have to hold down the enter key during boot up on the EOS samplers in order to enable the MIDI transfer (aka "download request"). Unfortunately for me, the enter key seems to do nothing when I hold it during boot up, and thus I cannot send the OS update to the sampler. Turns out I don't have a floppy drive anywhere to update the OS that way, either.

Is this feature only available on EOS samplers beyond v4.10?

Thanks so much in advance!

How about this? If you are reading this and have successfully updated your Ultra via ELoader, please post and say what version you upgraded FROM and TO. :)

I've answered my own question it seems.

After updating to 4.7 (via floppies) holding ENTER during boot up will prompt for the MIDI OS request. That did not happen on v4.10a.
