Hi, i have had my sampler for a few months now and not used it because i cant connect it to my laptop but i am wanting to get back into it again, mine has version 4.1a

i have to update via midi due to the fact my xp laptop cant accept the scsi connection using usb-scsi device so i downloaded e-loader..i have now found i need to use flashprep but that seems to want to save it to floppy, i dont have floppy i have a jaz drive in mine, and then the firmware file does the same.eloader asks for a dli file! what can i do?

many thanks in advance, cheers

That does not work.

I think you have to stick to your EOS, unless you replace JAZ with floppydrive again.
Why ? See here, tez' last post:

Maybe misleading, That does not work was related to the text I quoted (SCSI-USB Converter).

For updating via MIDI click the link in my last answer, read last post from tez there, LAST LINE/SENTENCE
Just trying to help you out (always updated via floppy myself), so relying on that info from tez, I say again you will have to stick to your EOS 4.10a, since it doesn't seem to support updating with eloader.

yeah i got it, cheers.

i am trying to do a virtual floppy drive on my computer so i can get the contents of the exe installers so i can drag them over to my jaz drive.think this would work?

struggling to get the dli files though, the installers are not seeing the virtual drive..what a nightmare lol

thanks again
