Totally agree with all of u guys.

I got this pb unsolved as well and even if the panning bug isn?t important when I use it as a stereo mixer/effect box, I personally consider having bought it as a complete solution 4 my music (beat box as well) and find it unacceptable not being able to use it so!

Not everybody has the money to buy other machines to compensate the lack.

The proposition skynet made is great as it is a constructive one. I would be glad to give 50? to the technical guys in order to get the beast fully functional .
It's seems not possible 2 me that these guys don't feel a bit proud of their system and do not want to give it a final touch.
This gear could enter the legend !!

It's definitely worth it :slayer: !^-^!

Hi guys!

Been reading for a few hours now and i'm amazed that nothing has happened yet....

one stupid question, i'm a kind of a noob on the Hardware samplers area, and i have recently bought a E5000Ultra, its been working fine and so on, but it came with EOS 4.10, so i'm guessing this version doesnt suffer from the panning / outburst bugs.

Here's the question, can i upgrade my EOS to at least 4.61 and still get those bug or should i leave the EOS as it is and be happy with it??

And if so, is there a way of backing up the 4.10 EOS and upgrade to see if i encounter theses probs???

Oh, and yes i 'd pay $50 or more to get the "real" EOS creators to fix the bugs too!!

The fact is this, money talks bullsh*t walks!!

Best Regards
Juan

I wonder if it's worth posting a poll up somewhere on this Unofficial E-Mu Forum as I know for a fact that Emu staff read it?

The question could go along the lines of "Would you pay $50 for someone to recode a bug free EOS 4.7". If anyone who is more literate than I am can rephrase that then please do. I wonder if a few hundred postive responses would make them consider something??

Hey, i've got an E5000 ultra without the rfx card, i was looking to get one until i read this thread. What i wanted to know was, do you still think it is worth getting even though the card itself is fucked? I don't want to buy one and end up taking it out coz it's useless to record with.

Cheers

I dont think its the card itself that is bad, the problems are more in the EOS system of the samplers especially 4.7 beta.

I dont know for sure if you would still be getting these errors in version 4.6. but on the other hand its 4.7 that has some cool new features that make the card usefull i think.
I dont have that card either.

Just to clarify:

The "random panning" bug is present in EOS 4.6.

Both the "random panning", and "loud outbursts" bugs are present in EOS 4.7.

Not sure what you are asking...

If you are referring to the RFX bugs, read this thread from the beginning.

If you mean EOS, it can be downloaded from the 'Files' section of this site.

Hello all.
I'm gonna receive my first emu sampler this week.
Just a thought about RFX and extensions.
Is it possible to disable the RFX in EOS and still be able to use input/output extensions that's attached to it?
Thanks for your help,
Sam.

Damn, with the price the ultras with rfx go for these days, I'll scrap my classic, and get one if the bugs where fixed! The rfx-card really takes the e4 to a new level. Count me in on the 50 bucks.

2 dead cards?

Hi peeps,

I seem to have a major problem here. I now have 2 RFX cards and when I
put one into my 5000 ultra I get no sound at all and the second card
just gives back nasty screeching sounds from my outputs.

Does anyone know of this problem or could it be the case I am very unlucky
and have 2 dead RFX cards? :???:

cheers,

Munki.

Holy smokes, that sucks!

If you have any other options installed in your 5000, such as the DWAM board, try removing them completely, then re-install them. I shit you not, this fixed my seemingly non-functional RFX card.

Best of luck,

Art

Hey thanks Art.

I am not used to this stuff so could you tell me what the DWAM board is?

Yes this is driving me mad :???:

Cheers,

Munki
