Why complain? Um, cuz I shelled out a mint for the RFX and it doesn't work as advertized?

Given the amount of grief and pain this is causing you and assuming that EMU are not going to do anything about this (which is in my opinion a pretty safe assumption) would you be better off selling your RFX and ridding yourself of this burden? It seems to me that there are reliable work-arounds for the issue you have raised. If you are not interested in using them, then I've seen RFX cards go for 400 to 500 us dollars. With that kind of money you could upgrade to an Emulator X or something else.

Just some options. Hope this helps.

After i got the "solution" with beta 4.7. http://www.emusonacid.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2283
I am using it without any problem.. I am also routing software instruments through the fx prosessor. but i wish i had more inputs on the emu.

I find the rfx a great deal. its rather high quality on the fx?s, and lots of options to tweak. (and as for 4.7, realtime controll of fxs)

Clearly you fanboys are missing the point of this thread. I know about the work arounds. My RFX is not for sale. I choose to vent in protest of E-MU's failure to fix the glaring bugs they created. If you don't like that, that's your problem.

yea yea.. keep up the complain... but the e-mu hardware line is dead.. they are not even listening... lets instead get naked, and dance in ring around our e-mu's in pure joy of the z-plane filters.

Peace, love and e-mu!

Fanboy.

This thread is 4 years old. In the past 4 years the result of this thread has been little more than a bitch fest. I think here and there I have seen some constructive discussion about making the RFX work, which has been helpful for me. My question is: After 4 years of venting with no result and the EMU hardware line officially abandoned nearly 3 years ago is there any value in continuing the bitch fest? If you want to take it to the grave with you then go ahead, but can we please kill this thread cuz I'm not going to die on this hill.

It's a dead issue. If this makes me a fanboy then I'd rather wear that then kill myself with this kind of bitterness. 8-)

I'd rather do that than expose myself to any of this kind of unconstructive bitterness.

...Wouldn't it be great if E-MU/Creative, in an act of good will, stepped up and sorted the Ultra's OS?...One can dream.

So sad that such an amazing, almost perfect sampler/synth was just an update away from perfection before Creative stepped in and scrapped it. What a fucking tragedy

If you read my original post above, which got you trolling this thread, you'll notice it really wasn't bitter at all. My bitterness was brought on by your fanboy remarks and seemingly obsessive need to do away with this thread. You wouldn't happen to be affiliated with E-MU, would you?

But maybe I'm misreading this as bitterness.
