I am trying to interface an EMU e5000 Ultra and EMU mp7 Command Station.. this far with no luck whatsoever. I am able to trigger the sampler with command stations pads but the sequencer won't trigger it. I have checked and rechecked the correct midi settings in both the sampler and sequencer.. I am at a loss here.. anyone out there with a command station? Any help greatly appreciated. Also, is it possible that one of my machines is a dud? My sampler was bought second hand but was practically new - film still on the screen etc, and command station also works ok otherwise, just updated to OS2.0

:???:

Check the diagrams in the rear of the Command Station manual to make sure you have all the "switches" set properly. It can get complicated. Everything's probably working.

Jesus wept.. I thought it being a "command station" the Midi implementation would be simpler! All I want is just to get my sampler to play with command station!

I am offering 13 EMU Libraries (ISO) to anyone who helps me out here.. seriously.

Oh don't be a baby, it's not that hard. Looking at the MIDI routing diagram, it looks like you have to turn MIDI Rechannelize Off, then set MIDI In Channels to A (for channels 1-16). Both of these options are in the MIDI menu.

Whoops, should have read your post a little better. Sorry about that.

Go to page 115 of the XL-7 manual (rev F) Connection Examples. It's all right there. Good luck

Doh! Found "channel assign" in the manual.. thanks for pointing out the direction! This machine is deceiving - at first seems simple, then gets more and more complex..

Thanks guys! This should have been in the "noob" section really.. :D

Let me know if you want me to send you those ISO's, as a thank you!
