hello !!

during the last few month the following happened a few times and starts to get annoying as i havnt had any real problems with my emu 6400 ultra with internal 1,2 gig scsi hd and EOS 4.61 for the last 4 years:

while doing sample editing like reversing the sampler freezes and gives me this message:

FATAL ERROR: Gen Trap error

has anybody had the same problem ?? any help is very much appreciated

another thing wich really bugs me is: i have the undo/redo function activated but it always activates itself after pressing ok ....something that just started to happen the last few weeks that after sampling analog source in stereo the sampler just plays back the right channel ???
:biglaugh:

All I can really suggest is try EOS 4.7. Haven't had a Gen Trap Error on that. Also make sure everything's (ie connectors) seated in properly on the main board (ground yourself first).

yes i have had this performing almost exactly the same task. Im not sure what it is...maybe a memory problem? its annoying cos the EMU doesnt have a 'Soft Reset' function...so your forced to reboot an loose everything.

btw this has happened on 4.7 as well..

Im having the same problem too actually. I had it once before then nothing and today it pops up again.
For me it happens when i try to open or load a bank, and im using EOS v4.7

So I cant seem to load up my bank, im probably gonna have to rebuild it :???:
