This is probably a simple problem but... when I sequence off my emu in Cubase, whenever it wants to, some of the samples just stop playing half way through. Its as if Cubase is sending the midi note off signal randomly. Is this a common problem and what can I do to fix it. If you have never experienced this it is a hair pulling event.

i don't know the answer right off but here are some random suggestions to get you started on the right track. I hate weird problems like this so much.
First I'd try to use the midi out from Cubase on another piece of hardware gear if you have one. If it's that, it probably is your midi setting on the Emu or a shotty midi input (hopefully not).
If not try hooking up a midi controller straight into the emu and play notes, see if it still does it.
Try using another midi cord.
It may also be your setting for midi in Cubase. Try tweaking them under options or edit // preferences.
Hope that helps some.

Check your notes lengths in list edit. are you using 5.1 or SX??

I am using SX and my midi notes in edit for the specific part are all the same length. What settings in midi settings would cause such a thing to happen. The midi signal runs through my Z1 before hitting my sampler. Could something in the synth cause this interference?

How is your polyphony?? Maybe there is some note-stealing going on. Master>Utilities>Channel volume, check this while playing your song to see if your voice count is being overused....
ok..

It's the single voices that play simultaneously. If you have used up all 64 voices, the quietest (or oldest ?) voices will be cut off and reassigned. I have never seen zeroes there, though. What's your EOS version ?
