How do I tell if a sample is being used in a preset?

This seems like a relatively simple thing that I can't seem to find. I remember my ESI4000 - quite a terrible sampler, IMO - had this clearly displayed.

Also, I'm pretty sure this is a no-go, is there a way to flush out all the unused samples in current memory?

There must be megs of unused crap I'm got lying around on mine.

Exporting a Preset will do this. It will create a Bank that has the same name as your Preset. Inside this will be the Preset itslef with only the samples that are needed. This can be a bit of a pain if you have 20 to 30 Presets in a single Bank as it means exporting them all individually and then merging them all together.

Personally, wherever possible, I try to use a single massive Preset with all the sounds in it.

I would love it if there was a way that the emu could look the midi notes contained in sequence data and then extract only the Voices used in that sequence. Maybe that's something that the Zoeos programmers could sort out. ;)

And is there a way of viewing whether the sample is being used?

I can't help thinking I must have missed that page in the manual or something....

Super idea - definitely possible with ZoeOS as implemented- could be a while before it appears though - might be a good idea to remind me again in a few months time.
