A typical RTF question.

Hi all,

I'm afraid I'm going to ask a stupid question. Though the problem is quite anoying to me.
I have to tell first I'm just a musician and really not a smapler artist. I really admire you guys for learning and understanding the art of aplying the right parameters to sounds. I used to play and record music, using a RAP10 in the old days with cakewalk as a sequencer.
Now with my emulator X combined with Sonar 3, I hoped to have the same but with better sounds and the ability to use higher platforms.
Getting an answer to any question I got confused with term like envelopes, filters occilators and all that.

What I actually would like to know is how I amply reverb or chorus to just one midi track in Sonar. I can't figure out.
In Patch mix I can only apply it to the first channel.
Maybe it has got to do with the fact that when I insert Emulator X in Sonar to record some tracks, I can see that each channel's output is mapped or (routed?) to bus1 (or none) but when I open Emulator X stand alone, they are mapped to ASIO31/32.

Any help would be welcome. I need to read through loads of papers I know and I will because it's usefull but on the other hand it's all abacadabra to me and I just want to play and record, so.......

Don't shoot the piano player please!

Thanks and regards,

Pax.

to use any of the mappings on the patch mix you will need to create a new channel strip and route the channel to a new asio out that then will show up in your sequncer as a channel

(you may have to get cakewalk to see the new asio channels in cubase you just refresh the ins and outs in the connections manager)

Thank DSP,

I edited my reply because it was useless and no one could ever make something usefull out of it.
Sorry for that.

Thanks to you I'm able to post a more specific question ow. I'll do that in a new threat.

Cheers,

Pax.
