using them's not too difficult, but you need a fully-functional ultra sampler with eos 4.6 or above. you make a bank that contains all the samples (no links or stuff that's on rom in y'r sampler- they have to be in the ram) & basic key-mapping & so forth. also, it has to be a bit smaller than the flash... I have three 32Mb sticks & sometimes the sampler won't write what it says is a 32Mb bank because it's a tiny bit too big.
there's an authoring guide from emu..... it explains how the ultra also creates "proteus" data in "baby flash" on the stick so that y'r proteus module can use the ultra presets as "instruments" in it's own presets. this is what I do.
if this german shop turns out to have the 16Mb sticks, & you buy some & then get stuck, let me know! I started on my flash-rom-ultra-proteus adventure 18 months ago & only in the last few weeks has it become 2nd nature to me.
