SawStudio & Emu E4XT Ultra

Postby niles » Mon May 23, 2005 3:09 pm

Hello everyone, been awhile since I've been here. With the advise of some here I purchased E4XT Ultra bout a year ago. I've been extreemly happy with the Ultra and even in the face of softsamplers it's a great sounding kit. I had been using it alongside Cubase SX3 but started running into alot of timing issues and did alot of research on the Cubase forums, even upgraded my old PC. Still no luck. Well I remembered SawStudio from past research. Long story short, I got the basic version with MidiWorkShop. It's absolutly rock solid and has really opened up a whole new creative flow for me. The Ultra along side this is an absolute joy. I've tried NI soft demo vst's and they work fluently as well and really sound complimentary to the Emu. I'm sure most of you know about this before me but I just wanted to stop in and say hi and to say how thrilled I am again with the Emu. SawStudio has alot to do with it also. I'm in no way affiliated with SS but I think its really worth checking out. There's demo downloads which I used for about a month before diving in. Thanks again to those who helped me decide on the Ultra.

I had a look at Saw Studio - seems impressive. Is it really worth the 2500 price tag though?

Hi info, there are 3 versions. Basic-$300-24 audio tracks, Lite-$1200 ($900 discounted thru affiliate) 36 tracks and the full version discounted at $2300 thru an affiliate( i think, not totally sure on that one) The add on is MidiWorkShop -$300.
I"ve got the basic version plus MWS so it was $600, it's more than enough for my needs Info. There's a good comparison chart if you click on products. I'll tell ya, this thing is awesome. Come by the newsgroup forum and ask a million questions if you want. The people there are more than willing to help anyone out. Its listed under support/vidios. I have been way more into the Ultra since I got this. I'm most likley gonna pick up ZoeOS when i get the chance. Also as a side note, if you dont like the look of SS there are quite a few different skins to use. Hope this helps. Download the demo, check it out.
