SCSI and E5000 and Wavelab

Postby Jimmy_J_Breeze » Mon Dec 12, 2005 9:01 pm

Hi,

I had my e5000 linked up to Wavelab 4 - all working fine....

Then I changed my PC and popped the SCSI card in and installed wavelab and now I can't communicate with my e5000!

The sampling menu in Wavelab the options RECIEVE, TRANSMIT and SAMPLER CONFIGURATIONS are all whited out and unselectable...

I have tried unistalling and reinstalling wavelab but to no avail...

My SCSI ID's are:

1-4 empty
5 Iomega zip 100
6 Emu Emulator IV
7 AHA 2940/AHA2940W

Are these in the correct order?

I have installed the Adaptec drivers

I just do not understand why I can not even select items on the sampler menu in wavelab! AAAAAARRRRRGGGGG

Hope someone can help!

Also when I boot up the PC a message comes up saying that the SCSI BIOS is not installed...

Anybody know what this means? Or I should do to prevent this message?

Thanks for replying - It's been stressful!

The PC has the drivers and believe the SCSI card is installed correctly but your explanation does make sense...

I will try completely removing everything to do with the SCSI on the PC including the hardware and try completely reinstalling it.

Am I correct in thinking that I only need the Windows ASPI package (below link) installed on my machine and no other driver / software to make the SCSI card work?

Thanks

Thanks Chubby that link looks like..... THE ANSWER!

But which to choose - I'm sure this is probably a silly question.

But is windows 2000 the same as windows XP?

Can't find anything on XP there.

Think I'm going to sleep on it
