emusonacid! legacy

can anyone help me with something on my emu ::

so, at the moment i got my break, cymbals, pads, stabs going through channel 1+2 of my mixer (and through main output of emu).

then i have my bass going to channel 3 of my mixer (through sub 1 of emu output)


but when i turn the volume down of channel 3 (the bass) it still comes through on channel 1+2 eventhough i have rooted it to go through sub 1 ????!!!!

how can i stop this happening???

are you turning the bass down on your mixer? if so, what you could be hearing is bleed thru. on my djm500, even thought the cross fader is all the way to the right, i can still hear the left channel.

now if you are turning the bass down inside the sampler. then that is a different story. maybe you missed something on your routing...

now when you say you can still hear the bass, is it loud, or is it kind of in the back ground?

also if you are turning the bass down on your mixer, i am figuring that you are try turning it down on the sampler as well. that should take care of the issue, for the bleed thru anyway... i am actually not really sure if there is a way to fix bleed thru, assuming you are using a hardware mixer and all that stuff.

you havent any of signal from sub1 assigned to your effects,as these will be sent out via the main outputs.

in the multi mode window you should be able to find an area that says volume, and that is where you should be able to adjust the level of loudness for that channel. i think it as the apprivation like vol or so something. i don't have the sampler in front of me. basically if you were to tweak your soft mixer in your sequencer, those numbers would change.

the effect idea is also valid too, i would look into that also.

I think blaze has got this one. Make sure you dont have any effects on sub 1, all the fx returns come out of the main output, so if you DID have effects on (say reverb) youd hear the reverb even though teh channel volume is off

that'll be it........ i've got delay effect going through what i thought was sub 1! but obviously not, so if i turn the delay effect of, would there be any noise going through on the main??
