I just bought a 6400 Classic from ebay and it arrived this week. It runs EOS 3.00b. Is it worth trying to source an upgrade kit.

I've had a Yamaha A4000 for a while, so I'm just trying to get my head around a new way of working. I wanted it for the filters etc. I have a few questions. I admit buying it before knowing what to expect i.e. EOS versions, ultra's/classics etc. It was ?82, so not too bad.


1.) The sampler complains that the effects card is missing when I try end go into global and edit Effects A. did the 6400 classic come with any FX or do I have a dud ?

2.) I've noticed that the sampler crashes on occasion, escpecially if you try and work quickly with it.

3.) What is this SGI option in the SCSI section. Not detailed in my 3.00 manual.

4.) how do you get to the engineer test section. The option isn't available in my About section.
