CME vs DX7 w/ grey matter "E"

Postby sturoc » Sat Jun 10, 2006 6:40 am

Looking for some opinions:
As a controller for EMU's,
Does a DX7 w/ "E" card (which greatly improves ALOT of functions) work better than say a CME UF series controller?
I am currently using a DX7 w/ E card and am slowly tapping into it's potential for midi controller functions.
The CME's look very nice even played one and it feels good. But don't know many specs.

Well, I myself are kinda unsure about this. Because if I remember right the E card gave the dx7 arpeggiators (or however that is spelled), and "zones" on the board, right? You do not get arp on the uf, but on the other hand you do get 9 controllers and 9 faders, and that will probably come in handy. And unless you've got an dx7 mark II, you just got your modwheel to tweak the filters realtime...
