Sorting large Librarys - Partitions on internal HDD ???

Hi there!

First of all: My english is kind of bad - sorry for that!

I searched this Forum in order to find a solution by myself, but it didn?t work out...

I have a Esynth Ultra (EOS 4.7, no crashes until now...) with 128 MB, Adat expansion and a 40 GB Ide Drive inside. So far, everything is fine.

Last week i started sorting my samples and Banks.
I?d like to have everything on my hdd, including my Emu-Library (16 CDs), my favourite Multisamples (Banks like "Organs", "sec. Strings", "Vox", "Guitar", sorted by function), Banks that belog to certain Songs and so on.

My Problem is:
When working with folders, i am not able to sort them by name.
When i cerate a folder "Emu CD 3 - Orchestral" and then a new one called "Pianos" and then a new one "EMU CD 4", the "Pianos" always appear between "CD3" and "CD4"... If you know, what i mean...
Until now, this is not a big problem, but it turns out to be very chaotic on my hdd...

It would help, if i could create a folder in another folder (eg "Emu-CDs/CD 1"..."Emu-CDs/CD 2"...)

Is there a way to use different partitions on one hdd?
(For example, cutting my 40gig into 4 pieces. 15 gb for Emu-Library, 15 gb for favourites etc)
I tried to do that by cutting my hdd with Partition Magic 7 and then put my hdd back inside the Esynth, but it wont work...

How do you have your multisamples sorted on a big hdd?

Thanx for helping me...

Best regards,
