Hi everybody,

I use the "subsume" fonction in the Preset Edit in order to have one preset made of 4 others. (fir ex: I imported 4 cut-loops from Recycle).

Unfortunately, the transposition ("Xpose" window) is not taken in account in the subsuming, and all 4 loops begin at C1; so we have 4 samples on each same note...
Somebody knows if there is something I'm missing? A trick?

if you are transferring from recycle on your comp into the computer im afraid to say there is nothing you can do. I ran into the same problem when I first got recycle 2.0 a couple years ago. If you are not careful you WILL overwrite previously sent samples with the latest sent. It is a pain in the ass I know but as far as I heard there is nothing you can do about it. It is recycle not bieng intelligent enough to tell it exactly where to send samples and NOT to overwrite existing ones.

The problem with you subsuming is the same thing. Each original preset contains samples starting each on c1. so the minute you combine them the problem occurs with the overwrite.

hopefully if a new recycle comes out this will be fixed. Unless another program of a similar nature is developed.

So there is nothing to do...let's go the "manual" way deplacing all sampes on a different keyboard octave.

I know with soundforge it's the same way. If you don't specify which sample # to transfer to in the EMU it will replace an existing one. But what I have heard about is Batch Converters. They're progrmas that automate the transfer of large banks via SCSI. I know Sonc Foundry sells one and offers it as a plug-in for Sound Forge. It's $200 which is too expensive for such a limited program. You can download a demo from Sounforge though, but it has restrictions.

hmmmm.. that is interesting. I have batch convertor and knew it was used for doing batch processing to mulitple files (eq, compression etc) but I didn't know you could use it for "batch transfering" to your sampler. I will have to have a look into that and let you al lknow how it works out.
