Just installed a hard drive & its not showing up. Any id

I installed an 18.2 GB Seagate SCSI Hard Drive - the shop i bought it from specialises in selling SCSI stuff for samplers and stated that this drive was compatible with my sampler - E6400 Classic. I have installed it correctly to my knowledge but it's not showing up in my Disk menu. Does anyone know why?

I reversed the +/- on the power supply cable as I was told you had to do this cos emu made them the wrong way round so that ppl would buy their hd mounting kits. There is a green light on the hd that comes on when it boots up, so i think the power supply is OK.

I'm pretty sure the internal SCSI cable is installed fine as well.

Which scsi ID should it be on? so far i've tried 0 and 4, neither worked.

Here are the specs of the HD:

* Model: Seagate Cheetah, SCSI
* Formatted Capacity: 18.2 GIGABYTES
* Rotational speed:10000 RPM
* Interface: 50 pin SCSi connector included
* On-board SCSI bus terminator
* Height (inches/mm): .0.99/26.01
* Width (inches/mm): 4.00/101.6
* Depth (inches/mm): 5.75/146.1
* Operating Temp: 55 [C] 131 [F]

It complies with specifications for Low Power Consumption:

Start Up: +12VDC/<1.0A +5VDC/<.625A
Normal Operation: +12VDC/<.75 +5VDC/<.625A

sorted it - scsi cable was the wrong way round on the motherboard. it has a number 1 on the motherboard - you need to line up the red bit on the ribbon with this.
