Single hit FX routing and release edit?

Postby munki » Mon May 14, 2007 5:18 pm

Hi,

I have a couple of questions regarding my E5000 ultra and the RFX board when it comes to drums.

Is there a way i.e to just have the snare drum effected by an effect but leave all the other hits dry?

Also when I add swing in cubase if I have some notes close together the last one cuts off short. Where do I go to make all the notes oneshot so they play their full length or edit the release of a sample when played?

Thanks for your time.

To set up the RFX effects for your voice, you have to do
a RFX setup first.

Master > FX > RSetup
You could name it so it will easy to refer later
say you name it "MyRFXSetup"

Then click edit and assign effects to the busses

After that you have to assign it to your multi setup

Main page > MSetup > write
Then click edit and assign RFX Setup to your setup (MyRFXSetup)

Now the RFX busses are assigned
To add an effect to a voice, you just go to the first page of the voice
amplifier section in preset edit and assign voice sends to the RFX busses

When you save the bank, it will save the RFX setup
To change an effect, just go to to Master > FX > RSetup > Edit
and change your effect

[edit]
Now that I re-read your question I may have misundertood it :)
do you want that only the first snare hit affected ?

You can always fake it with using the same sample on multiple voices,
and assign effect on some voice and let one voice dry
and maybe use crossfade between voices
