i talked to a few guys in tech support at emu about releasing eos4.61 with the compressor effect. really cool guys.... they said it'll be up on the site in a few weeks... maybe with some other goodies too

Wow, they must have gotten some new tech support people... They're known as being some of the worst pricks in the industry (right up there with MOTU). Good to hear you had a nice experience w/ 'em. I haven't tried getting support for my sampler yet but I have an Ensoniq FIZMO and when I've tried in the past to get help they've given me a cold shoulder and worse. Perhaps it's time to try again!

I too had a bad experience with them big time. I worked for a big music store and were an authorized dealer for emu and when I called them with questions/problems they did nothing for me. Even when the sales rep came into the store he was clueless... i hope what you stated was true. Any updates to the emu whatsoever would be fantastic

strange, they seem safe. hopefully they wern't lying...
