Postby kan » Mon May 28, 2007 10:31 am

Hi
How can I convert my AIFF or Waves files into compatible files for my EMU IV sampler running under 4.62 eos version?

Thanks for your help

You can import the waves directly by using the floppy or sending them over by scsi via soundforge or similar programs.

should be able to burn them to cd with chicken systems translator. then import via scsi cdrom, if you dont already ahve the pc hooked upo via scsi. Dont thin you will be able to tranfer wav direct from floppy without 4.7, I couldnt anyway.

Wavs are loadable under Eos for definite on version 4, maybe even on version 2.8 or 3 of Eos. Is it even worth it tho considering the size of a floppy and the time involved loading.

Loading from a Fat formatted zip or hard disk is only available using Eos 4.7.

You can also transmit your samples via MIDI but it is also painfully slow. If you try this remember that you have to connect both the MIDI input and MIDI Outputs to your PC in order for it to work.

I think you might be right about that. I haven't done it for such along time that I can't remember for sure.
