e5000 vs. e6400

Postby bounce » Mon Jul 30, 2007 2:31 pm

I own a e5000 and still use it to my satisfaction.
I was wondering... is there any difference between the e5000 and the e6400 soundwise? I mean specially the filtersection.
If an e6400 sounds different i might consider buying one additional to the e5000 since the prices are so attractive nowadays.

or do they sound exactly the same which would make it obvious not to bother.

No difference in sound - the E6400 Ultra has a couple more pairs of analog outputs than the E5000 Ultra. Also, the E6400 Ultra can be upgraded to 128 voices, the E5000 Ultra can't (although that particular upgrade is impossible to find!).
