How do I check the specs on a EMU (seller without a clue)?

Postby MyraT » Mon Aug 27, 2007 12:16 pm

I'm visiting a seller of a EMU E5000 today. Apparently, he never used it much and doesn't know shit about it (his own words). Through the phone he booted it up and could see it is version 4.61 and has 128 MB.

Does anyone know how I can check if it has a HD, flash ROM or REFX? Either via optical traits or in one of the menus? It does have a ZIP drive and he hinted that it should have some "memory that is remembered between on/off" (aka flash option) so I'm hoping it has more extras.

Especially the RFX card, how do I see that?

The EOS machines usually list the installed options during the boot up sequence so you should be able to tell what's installed from that. As for the hard drive, you'll hear it spinning.

System configuration and installed options:

Press Master, then Utils, then About, then Config. The screen will list the current configuration and all installed options.

Hard drive:

Press Disk, then highlight the hard disk drive with the arrow keys, then press Info. The screen will list detailed information about the hard disk drive.

Hope this helps,
