idiotproof step by step guide for scsi connection

Postby jungalized » Sat Oct 06, 2007 6:17 pm

hi,
could here please anybody give me an idiotproof step by step guide for connecting a powermac g4 (running Tiger) and an e6400 ultra?
the scsi card is the standard scsi card that came with the powermac.

i've got 2 problems:
my emu can see the powermacs scsi hd 7 times, and my dsp quattro tells me that there?s an connection error if i'm trying to send samples via scsi. :(

thanks in advance!

edit:

sorry for my poor english :D

Double check your SCSI IDs - ensure that your Sampler, Mac and Hard Drive SCSI IDs are all different. Leave the Mac and Mac HD ones as they were supplied and change the SAMPLER ones to suitable values if you need to.

Set the "Mac On SCSI Bus" option to "ON" in the SCSI setup on your sampler.

Turn on SCSI Termination in your sampler.

Do you have any other SCSI peripherals on the SCSI line?

Cheers,
