Installing a HD and RAM into an Ultra.....

Postby Dark Syndicate » Wed Nov 28, 2007 11:23 am

Ive just bought a 6400 Ultra to replace my E5000 Ultra (i needed more outputs)

When it arrives i'll want to put my HD and RAM (out of the E5000) into the new E6400.

Im guessing it'll be pretty straight forward but just wanted to ask on here if there is anything i should be aware of?

Shouldn't have any problems, I've done it a few times myself.

Dead easy - just swap them over. The innards of the two machines are just about identical.

Excellent!

Thanks for the replies, i thought as much but its always best to check...

Just one more thing..

The sampler ive bought doesnt seem to have an internal HD (as far as i gathered from the seller)

So that will leave my E5000 without a HD and im hoping to sell it on, will i have trouble selling it minus a internal drive?
Can they be found cheap? If so i might buy one to stick in it before selling
