Postby snaper » Fri Jan 11, 2008 1:52 pm

Hy!

I bought my first ultra sampler last week, and I really love it!!! I still dont have a scsi connection to my mac...bu I have a simple PC and I want to transfer my rex/sf2 drums into the emu via Dos formatted floppy-s...what kind of formats can read the emu? I know taht wav, aif is readable...but i want to transfer complete rex files (or converted rex files...)

Can my emu read SF2 files?

Thansk:D

Yes, i did it, and my emu read it, but you know, if i transalate my sf2 files to EOS EB4 formats and copy more than one into a floppy my emu see only one preset...and when I load this one preset, the samples sounds like SSSSSSS or something...

All right...I found another way to trasfer my favourite breaks to my emu...but I must slice these beats with my emu? How to this? This some kind of "recyle emulation"? I think I can make it with the cords menu, with sample starts...but how???

Just.... just don't use the floppy drive.... It can start to cause some issues, at least in my experience. Sometimes bad things happen. I think I have had it crash my emu a few times in the past.

Lately, what I have been doing with my breaks is experimenting with cutting the break up in cubase and then sampling them. I basicually do all my layering and I am actually really happy with how my first experiment turned out. It seems tighter then normal, or maybe it's because of the layering that is all being sampled together... but there is always 'sstart, but that can be some what sloppy. Like I said in the other post, keep the sample small and you might be okay, but it's not going to be as good as if you actually cut each sample up.
