Hi guys could anyone recommend any sample cds of drums?

Also does anyone have any ideas were to get some samples of a Hamond organ?

Any help would be great.

You could get some M Audio drum sample discs... I mean, they are alright I suppose. What I do though, I guess depending on what music you are making, is sample breaks from records or cd's. Why not take the intro to Billy Jean and sample that and cut it up into little pieces? layer some some stuff on it too... Could be a good time.

You might already have a hammond organ sample. I could have sworn they had one on the floppy disc that came with your emu... assuming your using an emu sampler... but if not, you may find one on a Emu CD ROM Called vintage synths... or you could just make a hammond organ sound I suppose... Considering that organs where typically just sinewaves set at octave intervals with maybe some detuning... But I am tired so that might not be completely accurate, but organ sounds are way too simple to make...

I am searching for some Rnb drums samples.

If you set up 8 voices containing a pure sine wave sample, tuned according to the diagram below, you can then adjust the relative volumes of each one. You'd then need to put that through a rotary speaker. I can't speak for other E-mus but my E4K hasn't got that effect.

The E-mu Vintage Synth CD does indeed have some decent Hammond samples. Syntec's Wall of Sounds Vol.3 CD has even better ones:

Of course, I meant 9 voices, not 8.

The Syntec CD is very good. I particularly like the Synclavier samples and the organs. The Fairlight samples leave a lot to be desired, but it has a nice CR78 kit and the famous Prophet VS vox preset. The only down side is that some samples are out of tune so they have to be edited and saved again elsewhere. I bought the Akai S1000 version, which is slightly different from the E-mu one.

I am now tempted to get their FM sample CD, even though I own a DX7 and TX7, as I was quite impressed with the audio demo!

Battery sythetic drums and studio drums for me, also spectrasonics stylus rmx is quite good.

Check out Tape808 and Tape909. The demos sound fucking amazing.

One caveat: the samples are 24bit so they need to be converted if you plan to use them in an Ultra.

What kind of drum sounds are you after? Acoustic, breaks or electronic?

For Acoustic (at least snares;) see if you can track down Johnny C's Vintage Snares. There's also a Kontakt library called Studio Drum Kits that is unreal.

Breakbeats: you really can't beat Dogs On Acid (if you dig on there you can find basically every break you can imagine that's been used.

for drum machines... there's a refill called drummer boy that has all your basics in it, 808,909,606 etc... The tape 808 and 909 as mentioned above are excellent too.

I personally grab drum samples from wherever they sound good, sample packs, breaks, DOA ....
