I've been trying to load presets from the emax floppy disks into my standard emax rack,but i get disk not formatted and then i also get disk error and after alittle while the same disk may load up! this happens to all my floppy disk library so it can't be my disks?


so could it mean i need a new floppy drive?

i would vote for a yes.. i could also be that your floppy drive has a large amount of dust inside.

ok thankyou for that! would it help if i sprayed some WD40 into the floppy drive to cure the dust problem?

Aaaargh! Nooooooo! WD40 is grease. Open the unit and isolate the drive. Get one of those air sprays from your local photo shop. You know, the ones used to clean camera lenses. And make sure you hold it in the right position or water might come out (seriously).

problem fixed just needed a good blow out with the air spray and it now loads everytime
