I'm new to this board so this is my first post. There are some things I'd like to do with my E6400 but the manual doesn't tell me much.

This is my "problem"

I have an E6400 (eos 3.0, cant find 4.01 anymore) with 128 mb installed. What I want is to use it as a drummachine. I have some midifiles which are the backingtracks. They will trigger various samples in the E6400. Some of them are click tracks, others are for output to the PA.

So far so good, that works. Now what I want is to be able to start and stop the sequencer remote. There isn't a footswitch input (really a shame, even the darn M1R had an input for a pedal!) and I'm not sure if I want to spend a lot of money on just a simple device that makes a start/stop message from a footswitch input.

I know that the emu launchpad can do that trick and offers me a lot more but its so rare to find one.

Does anyone know of other solutions?
