IDE Zip Drive - Too Fat?

Postby illinformed » Wed May 27, 2009 6:28 pm

Hello there.

I was wondering if I could put an IDE Zip 250 drive where my floppy is on my Ultra E6400, ebay link below. Has ayone had any experience of this, it looks a bit too fat?

It will fit but it won't work on the ide port as the ultra is not atapi compatible. However, in theory it should work on the scsi port with a scsi-ide convertor.

Hi Stu

Many thanks for that. Someone local had 2 IDE Zip 250 drives for £5 each. Not so sure now, I was looking for a quick fix.
